Odoo Knowledge, v.18: Enhanced Capabilities for Centralizing Team Information

Odoo Knowledge empowers internal users to enrich their business knowledge base and share information, whether gathered individually or collaboratively. Previously, the ability to create a well-structured table of contents (TOC) was limited to the Odoo Knowledge module. However, with Odoo 18, this functionality is now available across various modules.


The capability to organize large volumes of information using TOCs in different modules is one of the key enhancements in the latest version of the Odoo ERP system.


How table of contents works in Odoo Knowledge



Using the /toc (table of contents) command, you can create a table of contents in other modules that have a text editor.


A large descriptive text can be structured with a table of contents, making it easier to visually comprehend and search for specific information.


For example, you can organize a project description using the /toc command and display it as a table of contents.



The next innovation will be useful for teams that use a unified guideline for assessing and identifying customer needs.


Let's look at an example involving a sales team and their guideline for evaluating customer needs.


In Odoo Knowledge, we upload the Sales Playbook template for the sales department's workflow.



For example, in the CRM module, our team working with a new Lead must analyze according to a single guideline outlined in the Sales Playbook under the Prospect Qualification section.



To do this, in the CRM module, under a new Lead, it is necessary to refer to the articles in Odoo Knowledge. In the search bar, specify the Sales Playbook template and select the required section to transfer it to the Lead's notes.


Odoo 18 remembers the user's location and transfers the text to the required field.


This functionality is available in any module that includes notes.


Publishing the entire article structure


It is now possible to publish the entire article structure, including all subordinate pages.
